The Maxdor 203 acoustic fire door is are purpose made dors with excellent sound insulation, superior aesthetics and certified fire resistance.
Ideal for commercial buildings that require fire protection together with noise control from plant, extractors, ventilation systems & general areas of buildings where fire protection is also required.
Our Maxdor Fire Rated Acoustic Door range is available with acoustic performance up to 38db and are available in single, double or leaf and a half formats. Fire-rated acoustic doors are provided as a complete door frame, door leaf, hardware and threshold units.
Our fire-rated acoustic doors can be manufactured to fit any sized structural opening, and our design team will work with you to make sure you get the best solution for your specific installation.

Product Details
Fire Doors are tested to the internationally recognised CERTIFIRE mark of fire safety. Doors are subjected to furnace testing resisting temperatures of up to 1100 degrees Centigrade for a period in excess of 4 hours/240 minutes.
Maxdor Acoustic FR Fire Rated Doors are fabricated using long life rust-resistant zinc coated steel. Door frame features a 90mm or 150mm front to back profile with integral single rebate.
Door leaf is 45mm thick, with integral anti-jemmy strips and 6No. or 9No. dog bolts to suit the size of the door. Hinges are high quality grade 13 stainless steel, available as standard or lift-off versions to BS. EN 1935:2002 (4No. on standard doors, 6No. for oversize doors).
Door skins come with the choice of solid doors or partial glazing/vision panels.
Glazing is available fire rated single or double glazing, Georgian Wired glass, as well as fire rated panels.
Threshold options of Folded steel, aluminium DDA compliant and a double-ramped aluminium threshold are available.
Acoustic Fire Rated doors come with several options for locking and operation.
- Deadlock with pull handles on one or both sides.
- Sashlock with lever/lever handles.
- Mortice lock with multipoint locking
- Keypad Codelock with integral lever handle.
Hardware can be upgraded to meet different access requirements. Options include:
- Deadlocks, Sashlocks or 5 lever deadlocks.

- Magnetic locks
- Solenoid bolts
Security Door Cylinders are provided with the option of Brisant, Ultion Cylinders or Sold Secure diamond / TS007 3 star rated.

Maxdor Acoustic Fire Rated Doors can be specified as either free swinging door sets or with door closers providing door control. Limit stays providing a restricted opening are also available.

Doors are available in a choice of standard RAL colours from the Interpon / Akzo-Nobel powder range. Minimum paint thickness is approx. 30 – 50 Microns. Optional include woodgrain colours, textured powder coating and the full RAL colour range.
